The wording of this makes me think it isn't "personal reasons" but rather strife with the coaching staff. It was time for Reef to reclaim his starting spot as he has healed up. Speculation but I wonder if he didn't take kindly to that news....but I've never seen any indication of that type of behavior from EJ4. Hopefully we can get some more info soon. Might be entirely different once we know (if we ever do) the actual circumstances, but on the surface seems eerily similar. Glad he's back, too. Hope it wasn't something as serious as our leading RB was dealing with in September when his production dropped way off. I couldn't figure out why he did so well against Syracuse and then his production dropped off against much weaker teams. Then I learned that his sister had passed away. Explained everything. He came back like roaring lion in the later part of the season and in post season.
