The Bobcats locked in defensively on the ball early and even covered up 3-point shooters - until they didn't with about five minutes to go in the first half.
Then, the turnovers started as Toledo made nine steals against OU ball handlers.
Wilson and Blyden then lit it up.
OU is an average shooting team and I guess that's not going to change but shooting 50 and 38 (from 3) percent should win more games than not.
Defense must get better.
So as the Bobcats move on to Ball State, they run into a desperate team looking for its first MAC win. The Cardinals rank last offensively in the conference but share the top defensively with BG and Eastern.
Old friend and transfer Elmore James has been coming on a bit for the Cardinals, and transfer Armoni Zeigler scored 30 at Akron Tuesday.
I'd love to see single digit turnovers by OU, the teams even-up in rebounding and the 'Cats shooting 75 percent at the foul line in Friday's game on CBS.

The fact, as you point out, that we dial-in at times, but then start failing apart at other times, seems to this low-BBIQ guy to reflect more on coaching than anything else.

And I know it wouldn't have mattered....but....how do you allow Chaos to pick up foul #3 with under two minutes left in the half?

Where are the assistants in Boals ear telling him to get Chaos out of the game? Not that you think a head coach at this level would need that help in this situation. Boals should know to make that decision on his own.

Coaching mapractice 101.
