Has anybody else noticed an issue with loud vehicle(s) in the West Union near South Plains Rd. area? Possible a "door dash" or other food delivery person?

I have heard the police know well about it but so far have done nothing.

I think it's been years since they tried to enforce the state and local laws on loud vehicles -- not just in Athens, but many parts of the state as well. This is a pet peeve of mine. Good luck in getting it enforced. Please do come back and tell us how it goes.

If they haven't done anything yet the smart money would be on nothing being done.

This is what is hard to understand. If a kid buys an $8000 beater Toyota Supra to deliver food, why spend $4000 on a custom exhaust system to make it roar like a race car and then however much on illegally dark window tint? That totals well over 50% of what the car is worth. There is nothing wrong with doing food delivery...the food places depend on people willing to do it and the people who order the food and staying in because they work remotely or whatever, they depend on it too. But at the end of the day, a guy is still delivering burgers and fries from Larry's and doesn't make a penny more by pissing off entire neighborhoods with endless fake race car noise for hours and hours.

Keep preaching, bro! I’m part of the choir.
