Letter to the editor proclaiming we should watch D3 hoops, a purer version of the game without all the BS.

Nice letter. I'm a big fan of D3 and I'm getting more into it every year. I follow Marietta and I've attended the D3 Final Four the past two years in Fort Wayne. Really good quality and a lot of fun.

I echo Jeff's sentiments. Fell in love with D3 basketball a couple of years ago. If you are a fan of good ball movement you will enjoy D3 basketball. If you prefer NBA athleticism and iso-ball then it won't be for you. The other nice aspect is that if you follow a team there is a good chance that that good freshman you are cheering for will be on the roster as a Senior.

A real plus for me!

There are a number of coaches who left D3 for higher levels in the past but have recently returned to D3. All marvel at the vast improvement in D3.

For you Ohio folks, Marietta's conference, the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) is one of the best and competitive in the country. John Carroll featured four D1 transfers, including familiar names Luke Frazier (Dayton/Ohio) and Luka Eller (Miami). Two of those transfers didn't even start. And they weren't even the best team in the conference. Mount Union lost in the D3 Championship game on a bucket at the buzzer. If you ever have the opportunity to make it to a game I highly recommend it. However, If you can't, all games are streamed for free (I have yet to run across a pay site stream) and can be accessed at the link I provided in my prior post.

I still remember my freshman year at Wittenberg when Bull Edwards, the football coach, came through Myers Hall, the freshman men's dorm, asking if anyone had played high school football. He was looking for a few more guys to round out his roster. Might have had more takers if he'd been passing out money!

The portal is impacting D3 also, but not NIL.

I think you are underestimating the NIL at the power DIII schools

I know some NIL is going on at upper level D3, but it's less of an impact than D1.
