Thank you for your perspective, which I value, but I will agree to disagree with you. People have become too comfortable saying things in ways that they would never have the courage to do in person. We are better than that, and, yes, it is much worse elsewhere, but that doesn't excuse anything close to that here. Usually, inappropriateness is fueled by emotions, but that doesn't justify an emotional response in return, which we are all guilty of. You are your own person, so do you, but I would invite us all to watch the pitch of our rhetoric at times.

I think you should probably take a look at who is actually responding most emotionally in these threads. Respectfully, nothing in this thread warranted your outburst about how people here have "deep-seated Mommy and Daddy issues, who also have disturbing inadequacies."

I'm not sure there's even a reasonable argument to be made here that you aren't the most emotional person in this thread, who has made the most inappropriate and personal accusations.

If you can explain how this thread reached the point that you felt any of that was justified, I'm all ears. But from my perspective, this is the pot calling the kettle black, and then lecturing the kettle about the cyber bullying.

Well, Sir, since we are all trapped inside of our heads as human beings. Everything in life is arguably a projection onto others, so, yes, what you project onto others is what you are, at least in part, because we are very similar as human beings. We could also talk about Projective Identification as described by the late/great Wilfred Bion, but let us not complicate the argument shall we. However, you, as well, bring attention to the basic problem here that I am trying to point out, which is the unnecessary use of ad hominem attacks on people that nobody knows, in theory, anything about, though it is clear that some people on this site know each other personally and recreationally. Ad Hominem, as I am sure you know, is a rhetorical strategy where someone attacks the person making an argument instead of the argument itself. Therefore, some of these conversations go off the rails as people make personal and insulting comments toward other people, which is often quite juvenile in nature and not deeply psychological at all, if, in fact, someone really desires to go there to begin with. Therefore, I doth think you protest too much, and I am glad to have gotten a reaction out of you since there is something there clearly for you and I to both work on, if you so desire. If the real purpose of this board is to insult others rather than explore a shared love for the Bobcat Community than so be it, but I personally find that kind of behavior nonproductive. If that is, indeed, what a majority of people want on this site in terms of behavior; well, let the games begin.

Getting this thread back on track: This afternoon I alternated watching EMU-Oakland and KSU-Niagara. The games were on at that same time so I was busy with the remote switching channels and trying to see most of what was going on in each game. My scouring report is that Ohio would have a hard time beating either of these teams, at least as we are playing right now. Both of these teams looked bigger than OHIO and seemed to play tougher and with more focus than does OHIO. I’m not ready to pull the plug, but my enthusiasm meter is drifting downwards.

I'm not typically one to add to pointless panic, I would only add that what I want to see desperately is some consistency from AJ Brown. We all know he can go get us 19-20 a night, and he has done that this year. But then he'll largely disappear and give us games of 6, 6, and 3 points. It would be great if we could count on him to consistently bring 11-13 points per game instead of averaging 13ppg with such drastic peaks and valleys.
