In 2022 Gantz voiced support for what he termed a "two entity solution" - so parroting right wing Orthodox talking points (whether from Bexley or Brooklyn) isn't going to fool people. Everybody knows what he meant.

I was born and raised as Jewish as anybody (bris through Bar Mitzvah), actually have been to Israel. But long since have rejected the blind faith of organized religions and their warlike tribal behaviors. I reject the horrific racism of the American orthodox and their use of Yiddish slang pejoratives like "schwartza" which ironically is the same word for people of color that hitler used. It's the Yiddish "n-word" and I reject the use of it. And back to the subject of Rabin...

(remember, her husband the Prime Minister was assassinated by a Netanyahu loyalist)

https://www.haaretz.com/2009-10-26/ty-article/rabins-wido...

Good thing Gantz stopped short of calling it a two state solution. Netanyahu might have had one of his extremist loyalists murder him too.

And before the Orthodox guy tries to be bogus and falsely accuse me of being a hamas sympathizer, don't bother. Islamist extremist terrorists are barbaric beyond comprehension. That's not new. Another sect perverting their "holy book" to fit their barbaric violent aims.

It's ok to be against Hamas and admit that what Israel is doing is wrong. They have no regard for civilians and have deliberately targeted them. They are actively making it difficult ne impossible to get aid to civilians and are starving the population. These things are not in dispute.

The ignorance is painful. Israel has been involved in getting countless aide to Gaza, while Hamas viciously steals it. The stories of them warning areas of future attacks are plentiful. There is a clear attempt at limiting civilian casualties, despite Hamas actively hiding behind them. The despicable nature of Hamas knows no bounds. War is ugly on every side, but the fact we even debate which side we should support is disgusting.

Virtually nothing would be done different militarily if Gantz or whoever was in power. Israel is united. Blame the right winger nearest the situation for your embarrassingly stupid and immoral protests is lazy and predictable. You really don't HAVE to always root for the less-white side. Be a reasonable person and make a moral judgment here or you're just embarrassing yourself.

Thank you RP for the concise accurate responses. As usual, nobody answered BTC's question. What do you want them to do? Hamas will NOT agree to a two state solution. They repeatedly say their purpose is death. Israel has been far too restrained in their response.

That was out of line, dumb, and wrong.

I'm sorry my denouncement of evil terrorists was too strong for you. I'd love to hear an actual counter argument.

Oh let's have a pissing contest about who hates terrorists more. I guess you win. I'm sure your American flag is bigger than mine too.

My issue is with the accusations you leveled at me. They were out of line, dumb and wrong.

Somewhere OCF is reading this and absolutely losing his mind that there's a political discussion occurring during his boycott.

If he was reading, he would chime in stating the 78th regiment of the OHIO militia ended the Yom Kipper War.

Kippur, not Kipper.

A kipper is a whole herring, a small, oily fish, that has been split in a butterfly fashion from tail to head along the dorsal ridge, gutted, salted or pickled, and cold-smoked over smoldering wood chips.

The 78th Ohio Infantry was organized at Camp Gilbert in Zanesville, Ohio October 1861 through January 1862 and mustered in for three years service on January 11, 1862, under the command of Colonel Mortimer Dormer Leggett.

The regiment was attached to 2nd Brigade, 3rd Division, District of West Tennessee, to March 1862. Moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, then to Fort Donelson, TN. Why is this interesting? The modern day current Donelson TN near Nashville's airport is where my ex-mother-in-law lives.

BTW, she's not Jewish, she's Catholic. Fled Castro in 1961. Hates putin and hates russia.

Damn, you realize I pulled stuff out my ass with that 78th. It was a joke, trying to get OCF back. But feel free. I knew he’s part of the reenactment, which I believe is the 78th, was nothing more or nothing less. My apologies for purposely not being intentionally factional.
