Conference schedule comes out. I take ten minutes to come to BA to see what some thoughts are.

Predictably, there's lots of bitching & complaining. I guess it's a matter of perspective. I used to complain about all that stuff too. Now, I have bigger and harder things to worry about in life than whether or not we managed a P6 game. And I get it. It would be nice, and probably preferred to see one of those games.

I look at it and see three Saturday home games before Christmas which I really like, and a couple interesting weekend road trips to Cleveland, Kent, Oxford, and Kalamazoo. I see pretty good value for my ticket money. I see GREAT value for student ticket money, as always.

See y'all in The Convo on 11/8 and 11/18, maybe even on Homecoming too. 😉

All I know is getting Davidson in Cleveland is gonna be a lot of fun! The fact that it's a doubleheader with WVU and Ohio A&M, that's going to be a great day for college hoops in Cleveland and the kind of event that should excite the hoop fans here. Feel free to disagree, but hats off to our staff on pulling that off!

Tough draw with Toledo & NIU being the 2 West opponents we play twice. Huge game right off the bat on Jan 2.

Lighten up, dude. Glad you are thrilled about seeing Otterbein and you have a job. Congrats.

Love wants more 40 point losses to Kansas so he can make 30 posts about how awful the team and coach are again. Dangit Boals, how is he supposed to occupy his winter now?!

What I don't understand is that we play Saturday away games at Toledo and Kent yet each return game in Athens is a Tuesday. Is it just me or does this seem to happen every year? If not Toledo and Kent, then its NIU and Akron and it never reverts in our favor which makes me believe that it's not random. I'm not usually a shake my fist at the sky type of person but on this topic I am.

You're not wrong - or atleast I dont think you are - it feels like we historically either don't have many weekend games or when we have a home-and-home we get back a week day.

YSU was a Sunday game at their place. They're back in Athens on a Tuesday night.

Feels like WE should have more of the pull I feel like other teams have, but who knows.

We go over this every year: We ask for those games to be on weeknights.

But then we played at Delaware and Detroit on weeknights last year and have them at home on Saturdays this year.

What's the logic behind that? Because we're gonna draw a Saturday crowd either way so why not have a bigger opponent on a weeknight to get a better weeknight crowd? Or we want to play them on a weeknight so they are less fresh?

A look at Austin Peay’s overhaul. A lot of NW State players followers coach, but Sharp, Jones, and Black put up 13ppg, 15ppg, and 20ppg last season.

The game at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on December 30th is actually a triple header. The Ohio game vs Davidson was added as the third game that day. Game times for that day has not been announced by RMF.

The games are:

Akron vs St. Bonaventure

Ohio vs Davidson

Ohio State vs West Virginia

I really like this. Almost the makings of a mini MAC-A10 Challenge on a neutral floor with OSU as a headliner.

They try to make this a thing every so often, don't they? We played Wisky a few years back in a doubleheader with Kent.

Even better! The more MAC teams want to host something like this together, I am always game for. Pair it with schools that want to go big-time recruiting in one of the 3 C's, the better. I am all game for this type of series annually.

For those of you that like to wonder why Ohio can't get its schedule out sooner, I do believe that CMU has not released their schedule yet. I think all of their games but one are know because all their opponents have released theirs.

All of the home game and many road games have a time set now. I do not believe that was the case last week. It is a good bet 2 or 3 times will still be moved for TV.

And they moved the exhibition open from Sat 11/4 to Thu 11/2? Random. I swear every single time I try to plan bringing in some visitors to a game they do this crap to me. Had some Otterbein grads planning to attend with me.

That screws over Dads weekend even more. It's bad enough they don't get a real game that matters. Now they don't get a game period.

No football game on fall Parents Weekend. No basketball game on Dads weekend.
